I just read the following in this article in the Los Angeles Times:
But the four dissenters faulted the majority for opening the door to legal challenges to various gun-control measures. Justice John Paul Stevens, speaking for the dissenters, said the 2nd Amendment “was adopted to protect the right of the people of each of the several states to maintain a well-regulated militia.”
The four dissenters object to the ruling because of the potential resulting legal challenges to other bad law? Excuse me? What are they afraid of? Isn’t about time we fix all of the shit that has been enacted ever since the absolutely disgraceful 1939 United States v. Miller decision?
For the love of God! I suppose these same for morons would have objected to Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka because of all of the lawsuits that were initiated as a result of that decision!
