Osama and the Morning Commute

I read in the Houston Chronicle this morning that Osama bin Laden was killed yesterday. Good. Had an interesting drive to work this morning. The traffic was really getting think on 59 S. as I drove in from Humble, so I I got off at the Crosstimbers exit. Drove west on Crosstimbers, then south on Jensen. Turned right on Calvacade. Got held up for about 15 minutes by a train. Turned left and drove south on Hardy. That merged into the Elysian Street overpass. Very cool way to come into Houston. Drove west on Prarie, which merged into Memorial. Then drove south on Shepherd and west on Alabama. Except for the train it would have been a pretty fast trip.

Moonwalking With Einstein

Just finished reading a really interesting book called Moonwalking with Einstein: The Art and Science of Remembering Everything. It was written by Joshua Foer and published in March, 2011 by Penguin Press.

Joshua — a man with an average memory — went on to win the U.S. Memory Championship. This book chronicles his path in an entertaining and informative way. Highly recommended.

Cardio at Lifetime Fitness

Mikie and I got in 30 minutes of cardio at the Lifetime Fitness in Atascocita. We used the Octane Fitness elliptical machines. Good workout!
